Planning achieved for new warehouse

Another positive milestone at Twinwoods Business Park near Bedford, with full planning permission now secured for a new industrial warehouse and open storage yard. The building will extend to approximately 23,000 sq ft, and sit on a 2.5-acre site, providing a low site cover to enable complementary open storage for the future occupier.

This development will deliver a high-quality B2 & B8 space and will have strong sustainability credentials, targeting EPC A and BREEAM accreditation, with the potential for full solar coverage on the roof. We are now progressing advanced occupier discussions, with construction expected to commence later this year.

This is the latest phase of our investment and development programme in Twinwoods Business Park, meeting the needs of both current and future occupiers. Since acquisition, over 10 acres of open storage have been delivered. CHEP’s new Bedford facility is currently under construction, comprising 88,000 sq ft of refurbished warehouse space and 7 acres of open storage yards. This is due to complete in the autumn. An excellent result for everyone involved and another step forward in delivering well-located employment space that supports regional growth and investment.
